Act Dead or OOF Permanent

Permanent — listed on Roblox as x2 Permanent — is the priciest pass in Act Dead or OOF at a one-time R$499. Its official description is a single line: “Get x2 the amount of rounds when you are Hunter!”. This page covers what that actually buys, who it is for, and how it compares to the cheaper passes. Weighing all six at once? Start with the gamepass tier list.

What Permanent does

Act Dead or OOF is a 1-vs-all round: one Hunter walks a room full of players frozen as mannequins, trying to spot the ones that twitch. Being the Hunter is the role most players queue for, and the game rotates it. x2 Permanent doubles the number of rounds you get whenever the rotation lands on you — it buys role time, not power.

  • Type: permanent Hunter-round multiplier. It is explicitly role-linked: if you are never the Hunter, it never activates.
  • Playstyle fit: Hunter mains and daily players who want more of the chase and less of the standing still.
  • Not currency: that is x2 Yen; not map influence: that is x2 Vote; not a weapon: that is Scythe.

Note: this is an unofficial fan guide. The description above is quoted from the official Roblox gamepass listing — 79studios does not publish a deeper spec, so we do not claim any perk beyond the doubled Hunter rounds.

Permanent vs the other gamepasses

Act Dead or OOF currently sells six gamepasses, all with real prices and official descriptions from the Roblox listing:

  • Scythe — R$139.A Hunter tool: “-5% Speed Boost when Equipped”.
  • x2 Yen — R$99.“Earn Twice As Much Yen From A Round” — a permanent earnings multiplier that works in every role.

Verdict

Buy it only if you love being the Hunter

R$499 is a lot of Robux for a single effect, and that effect is worthless to players who mainly enjoy hiding in plain sight. For Hunter mains who play daily it is the one pass that meaningfully changes your session. Undecided? Compare all six side by side on the calculator, read the Hunter strategy guide first, and check the FAQ for how gamepasses interact with normal play.

Permanent questions

What does the Permanent gamepass do in Act Dead or OOF?

The pass is listed on Roblox as "x2 Permanent" and its official description reads "Get x2 the amount of rounds when you are Hunter!". In other words it permanently doubles how many rounds you play as the Hunter each time you are picked for the role — it is a role-time multiplier, not a bundle of miscellaneous perks.

How much does Permanent cost?

The Permanent gamepass is listed at R$499 on the official Roblox store page for Act Dead or OOF. At R$499 it is tied with the Trident as the most expensive gamepass in the game, and it is a one-time purchase, not a subscription.

Is the Permanent gamepass worth buying?

It depends entirely on whether you enjoy the Hunter role. Doubling your Hunter rounds is the single biggest change any pass makes to how much time you spend on the fun side of the chase, so Hunter mains get real value at R$499. If you mostly play as a mannequin trying to survive, it does very little and cheaper passes make more sense.

Does Permanent make you stronger as the Hunter?

No. It changes how many Hunter rounds you get, not how powerful you are in them. Nothing in the official description grants extra speed, damage, or detection — for a Hunter tool you would be looking at the Scythe pass instead. We only describe what the Roblox listing states and never invent perks.
