Act Dead or OOF wiki

How a round works

Each round begins with one player randomly selected as the Hunter. The other players spawn as mannequins and props scattered through the map. The Hunter moves through the space looking for anything that moves or looks out of place, and eliminates suspects. Survivors win by lasting until the timer ends; the Hunter wins by removing enough players.

Between rounds the lobby votes on which map to play next — that is the vote the x2 Vote gamepassdoubles, according to its official Roblox description (“2x Map Voting”). We have seen fan pages claim the pass lets you vote players out of a round; nothing in the official listing supports that, so we do not repeat it.

The two roles

The survivor mannequin role

Survivor (mannequin)

Stay still, blend in, and survive the timer. Success as a survivor is about restraint and disguise rather than speed.

The Hunter role

The Hunter

Hunt the mannequins, spot the fakes, and eliminate them. The Hunter role is where the Scythe gamepass and aggressive playstyles shine.

Prices are from Roblox’s public gamepass listings. Tiers are this guide’s editorial opinion, not official rankings.

August 2, 2026: the summer event added two purchasable tools. Sea Knife (R$259) had sat on the listing at R$0 and off sale since July 30 before going live, and Trident(R$499) appeared and went on sale the same day. Both are described only as “Limited Time Tool for SUMMER EVENT” with no stated in-round effect, so we list their verified prices but no stats — details on the Sea Knife and Trident pages, and in the updates log.

FAQ

Wiki questions

What genre is Act Dead or OOF?

It is a social-survival, 1-vs-all game on Roblox. One player is the Hunter and the rest are mannequins who must avoid detection until the round ends. It blends prop-hunt hiding with light social deduction.

What currency does the game use?

The game uses Yen as its in-game currency. Yen is earned by surviving rounds and by eliminating players as the Hunter, and it is spent on unlocks and progression. A Yen gamepass can grant a starting bundle.

How many players are in a round?

Servers hold up to 10 players per round — the maximum player count published on the official Roblox place. One player is randomly assigned the Hunter role and the remaining nine spawn as mannequins and props. Live server listings regularly show full 10/10 lobbies during peak hours.
