Act Dead or OOF updates
A running log of what changes in the game. We watch 79studios’ releases daily and add patch notes, balance passes, and any new codes the moment they appear, so you never miss a shift in how the title plays. New entries are added at the top, and each one links to the tool or guide page it affects most.

Stats: 7.34M visits, 762K favorites, live concurrency settles near ~160
Read from Roblox directly on August 31, 2026: 7,338,469 visits, 762,579 favorites, and 14,019 likes against 3,315 dislikes for a ratio of 80.9% — up 434,249 visits and 43,944 favorites since the August 18 check thirteen days earlier, a run rate of roughly 33,000 visits and 3,400 favorites a day, the slowest pace of the entire post-launch run yet still firmly positive. Official votes ticked up 582 to 14,019 while the ratio held its 80.8–80.9% band. The badge "Thanks for Playing! ☠️" total reached 4,556,947, and the volatile 24-hour award count read 14,239 — down from 22,865 on August 18 and now barely a sixth of the 95,995 pre-update baseline, so new-player intake has cooled well past the summer level. The bigger story is in live concurrency, measured as UTC calendar-day averages from RoWatcher snapshot history: roughly 155 on August 24, 154 on August 25, 136 on August 26, 156 on August 27, 144 on August 28, 178 on August 29, 187 on August 30 and 142 so far on August 31 (partial) — a steady ~140 to 190 band averaging about 162 over the last week. That is roughly 13% of the ~1,205 late-July baseline (July 28 to 31) and about 3% of the 5,784 verified peak from August 1. The divergence is now sharp and verifiable: cumulative visits keep climbing past 7.3M while the live audience sits at roughly a seventh of where it stood before the summer update. The official place timestamp still reads August 15 21:28Z, so no new publish in sixteen days.
- 08-31
Four-item check: no new publish, name change, gamepass move, or code
All four things we verify every cycle are unchanged. The official place timestamp still reads 2026-08-15T21:28:39Z, so 79studios has not shipped since the August 15 publish sixteen days ago. The experience name still carries the [🏖️] beach tag with no new bracket. All six gamepasses remain listed and for sale at the same prices — Trident R$499, x2 Permanent R$499, Sea Knife R$259, Scythe R$139, x2 Yen R$99 and x2 Vote R$67 — with no price-history entries since August 23. And there is still no public code redemption system, so our codes page stays deliberately empty. One tracker note worth updating: RoWatcher underlying vote data finally refreshed to 14,005 likes against 3,314 dislikes, matching Roblox official 14,019 / 3,315 — ending the months-long 6,980 freeze we flagged every cycle (its public profile page may still cache the old 7K figure). The widely cited third-party understatement caveat is therefore no longer live in the JSON feed.

Another summer-window publish ships at 21:28 UTC on August 15 — the first since the nine-day gap closed
The official Roblox place timestamp moved from 2026-08-14T12:25:19Z to 2026-08-15T21:28:39Z, the next publish after the one that ended the nine-day silence on August 14. As always during the summer window there are no patch notes, and everything we can compare is unchanged: the experience still carries the [🏖️] beach tag with no new bracket, the store description is byte-for-byte identical to July, and all six gamepasses remain listed and for sale at the same prices — Trident R$499, x2 Permanent R$499, Sea Knife R$259, Scythe R$139, x2 Yen R$99 and x2 Vote R$67, with no price-history entries since August 16. The only confirmed facts are that a publish happened and when. We are recording the timing, not claiming a cause: the August 15 publish did not bend the player-count trend (see the stats entry below), and that is exactly what the previous several publishes looked like too.
- 08-18
Stats: 6.90M visits, 718K favorites, concurrency flat near 300 below the pre-summer floor
Read from Roblox directly on August 18, 2026: 6,904,220 visits, 718,635 favorites, and 13,437 likes against 3,176 dislikes for a ratio of 80.9% — up 170,920 visits and 17,301 favorites since the August 15 check three days earlier, a run rate of roughly 57,000 visits a day, easing further from the 75,000-a-day pace of two cycles ago. Official votes ticked up 216 to 13,437 while the ratio held its 80.8–80.9% band. The badge "Thanks for Playing! ☠️" total reached 4,358,104, and the volatile 24-hour award count read 22,865 — still well under the 95,995 pre-update baseline, so new-player intake has not recovered. Concurrency, measured as UTC calendar-day averages, has flattened: 334 on August 15 (final), 350 on August 16, 337 on August 17 and 260 so far on August 18 (partial, last sampled at 12:02 UTC) — a steady ~300 plateau that is roughly a quarter of the ~1,050–1,400 pre-summer baseline (July 28–31) and has now sat below it for eleven straight days. The August 15 publish produced no reversal: the plateau continues. The official place timestamp reads August 15 21:28Z, confirming the publish described above.
- 08-18
Four-item check: a new publish, but no name change, gamepass move, or code
Three of the four things we verify every cycle are unchanged; the fourth is not. The official place timestamp now reads 2026-08-15T21:28:39Z, so 79studios shipped again three days after the August 14 publish — see the entry at the top. The experience name still carries the [🏖️] beach tag with no new bracket. All six gamepasses remain listed and for sale at the same prices — Trident R$499, x2 Permanent R$499, Sea Knife R$259, Scythe R$139, x2 Yen R$99 and x2 Vote R$67 — with no price-history entries since August 16. And there is still no public code redemption system, so our codes page stays deliberately empty. One third-party caution, recalculated as always: the widely cited tracker whose vote scraping stalled on July 27 still reports 6,980 likes, which now understates the real count by 48% (Roblox shows 13,437), and its own place "last updated" field still reads July 27 — twenty-two days stale against the eight publishes Roblox has recorded since then.
- 08-15
Sixth summer-window publish ships at 12:25 UTC on August 14 — after a nine-day gap
The official Roblox place timestamp moved from 2026-08-05T20:05:06Z to 2026-08-14T12:25:19Z, the sixth publish inside the summer window and the first in nine days — by far the longest quiet stretch since the window opened on August 1. Everything we can compare is unchanged: the experience still carries the [🏖️] beach tag with no new bracket, the store description is byte-for-byte identical to July, and all six gamepasses remain listed and for sale at the same prices — Trident R$499, x2 Permanent R$499, Sea Knife R$259, Scythe R$139, x2 Yen R$99 and x2 Vote R$67, with no price-history entries since August 9. There are still no patch notes anywhere official, so the only confirmed facts are that a publish happened and when. We are recording the timing, not claiming a cause; the nine-day gap is itself the news here, because the window had been shipping every one to two days beforehand.
- 08-15
Stats: 6.73M visits, 701K favorites, concurrency still below the pre-summer floor
Read from Roblox directly on August 15, 2026: 6,733,300 visits, 701,334 favorites, and 13,221 likes against 3,123 dislikes for a ratio of 80.9% — up 149,575 visits and 16,566 favorites since the August 13 check two days earlier, a run rate of roughly 75,000 visits a day, slower than the 115,000-a-day pace noted two cycles ago. Official votes ticked up 183 to 13,221 while the ratio held its 80.8–80.9% band. The badge "Thanks for Playing! ☠️" total reached 4,283,726, and the volatile 24-hour award count read 30,824 — still well under the 95,995 pre-update baseline, so new-player intake has not recovered despite the August 14 publish. Concurrency, measured as UTC calendar-day averages, continues to drift: 938 on August 8, 916 on August 9, 692 on August 10, 669 on August 11, 516 on August 12, 410 on August 13, a small 491 on August 14 — the publish day — and 324 so far on August 15 (partial). The August 14 tick-up is not a reversal: August 15 is tracking lower again, and we are recording the timing of the publish, not asserting it moved the numbers. The pre-summer baseline band was roughly 1,050–1,400 (July 28–31); the game has now sat below it for nine straight days. The official place timestamp reads August 14 12:25Z, confirming the publish described above.
- 08-15
Four-item check: new publish, but no name change, gamepass move, or code
Three of the four things we verify every cycle are unchanged; the fourth is not. The official place timestamp now reads 2026-08-14T12:25:19Z, ending the nine-day silence described in the August 13 check below — so this cycle did ship, after all. The experience name still carries the [🏖️] beach tag with no new bracket. All six gamepasses remain listed and for sale at the same prices — Trident R$499, x2 Permanent R$499, Sea Knife R$259, Scythe R$139, x2 Yen R$99 and x2 Vote R$67 — with no price-history entries since August 9. And there is still no public code redemption system, so our codes page stays deliberately empty. One third-party caution, recalculated as always: the widely cited tracker whose vote scraping stalled on July 27 still reports 6,980 likes, which now understates the real count by 47% (Roblox shows 13,221), and its own place "last updated" field still reads July 27 — nineteen days stale against the seven publishes Roblox has recorded since then.
- 08-13
Stats: 6.58M visits, 685K favorites, concurrency dips below pre-summer baseline
Read from Roblox directly on August 13, 2026: 6,583,725 visits, 684,768 favorites, and 13,038 likes against 3,085 dislikes for a ratio of 80.8% — unchanged through the entire arc. That is 574,845 visits and 64,598 favorites added since the August 8 evening check five days earlier, a run rate of roughly 115,000 visits and 13,000 favorites a day — a slightly slower clip than the 170,000-a-day pace of early August, but still firmly positive. The standout move is in concurrency: measured as UTC calendar-day averages, the game ran about 1,124 on August 8, then 917 on August 9, 693 on August 10, 669 on August 11 and 516 on August 12 — the first full-day average to fall below the pre-summer baseline band of roughly 1,050–1,400 (July 28–31). August 13 is only partially sampled so far (about 399 across four snapshots up to midday UTC) and we will finalise it next cycle, but the direction is clear: the summer spike has not merely unwound, it has dipped under the late-July floor. Visits and favorites keep climbing regardless, because they are cumulative and lag the live count. The badge "Thanks for Playing!" total reached 4,212,774, up about 293,000 in five days, though the volatile 24-hour award count read 32,454 this cycle — a low point worth restating rather than over-interpreting. The official place timestamp still reads August 5 20:05Z, so no new publish in eight days; the [🏖️] name tag and all six gamepass prices are unchanged.
- 08-13
Four-item check: no new publish, name change, gamepass move, or code
All four things we verify every cycle are unchanged. The official place timestamp still reads 2026-08-05T20:05:06Z, so 79studios has not shipped in eight days — the longest quiet stretch since the summer window opened. The experience name still carries the [🏖️] beach tag with no new bracket. All six gamepasses remain listed and for sale at the same prices — Trident R$499, x2 Permanent R$499, Sea Knife R$259, Scythe R$139, x2 Yen R$99 and x2 Vote R$67 — with no price-history entries since August 6. And there is still no public code redemption system, so our codes page stays deliberately empty. One third-party caution, recalculated as always: the widely cited tracker whose vote scraping stalled on July 27 still reports 6,980 likes, which now understates the real count by 46% (Roblox shows 13,038), and its own place "last updated" field still reads July 27 — seventeen days stale against the five publishes Roblox recorded since then. Superseded on August 15: a sixth summer-window publish landed at 12:25 UTC on August 14, 2026, ending the nine-day silence — see the entries at the top.
- 08-08
Evening stats: visits clear 6 million, new-player intake rebounds above baseline
Read from Roblox directly on the evening of August 8, 2026: 6,008,880 visits, 620,170 favorites, and 12,300 likes against 2,918 dislikes for a ratio of 80.8% — a figure that has not moved through the run-up, the peak, the full cooldown and now the rebound. That is 93,591 visits and 12,317 favorites added since the morning check twelve hours earlier. The headline line is the milestone: lifetime visits crossed 6,000,000 for the first time, seven weeks after the June 22 launch. Growth itself stays on its pre-summer-update trend — the two and a half days since August 6 ran at roughly 170,000 visits and 20,000 favorites a day, inside the 166K–193K band the game posted daily before the update. The badge counter is the notable reversal: daily awards of "Thanks for Playing! ☠️" read 108,027, about 12% above the 95,995 pre-update baseline — ending the gentle sub-baseline dip first recorded on August 4, when the reading fell to 82,327. The running badge total is 3,919,530. Concurrency in the latest official snapshot is 1,065, and the official place timestamp still reads August 5 20:05Z, so no new publish occurred; the [🏖️] name tag and all six gamepass prices are unchanged.
- 08-08
Morning stats: 5.92M visits, 608K favorites, growth steady inside pre-update band
Read from Roblox directly on the morning of August 8, 2026: 5,915,289 visits, 607,853 favorites, and 12,167 likes against 2,898 dislikes for a ratio of 80.8% — unchanged again through the whole arc. The two days since August 6 added 330,376 visits and 39,163 favorites, a run rate of roughly 165,000 visits a day that sits inside the 166K–193K band the game posted daily before the summer update, so growth has normalised rather than re-accelerated. The badge total reached 3,865,000. New unique players per day, read from the daily badge counter, are 86,416 — about 10% below the 95,995 pre-update baseline, extending the gentle overshoot first recorded on August 4. Lobbies still fill: of ten public servers sampled, several sat at 10/10 with the rest at 9/10 and 8/10. The beach-name tag ([🏖️]) and all six gamepass prices are unchanged, and the official place timestamp still reads August 5 20:05Z, so no new publish occurred in this window.
- 08-08
Four-item check: no new publish, name change, gamepass move, or code
All four things we verify every cycle are unchanged. The official place timestamp still reads 2026-08-05T20:05:06Z, so 79studios has not shipped since the fifth summer-window publish two mornings ago. One third-party caution, recalculated as always: the widely cited tracker whose vote scraping stalled on July 27 still reports 6,980 likes, which now understates the real count by 43%, and its own place "last updated" field still reads July 27 — twelve days stale against the five publishes Roblox has recorded since then.

Launches on Roblox
79studios releases the title on Roblox. The 1-vs-all mannequin survival format goes live on PC, mobile, Xbox, and PlayStation with the four launch gamepasses.
- 06-29
First content drop
A small balance pass tunes Hunter speed and survivor spawn clustering. No new codes or gamepasses are added yet.
- 07-10
Server stability
Matchmaking and server-size handling are improved for the 10-player rounds, reducing late-round disconnects.
- 07-23
This guide tracks it
We begin daily monitoring for patch notes, codes, and balance changes. This page is updated as new information ships.
- 07-30
Fifth gamepass "Sea Knife" appears
A new gamepass named Sea Knife shows up on the game’s public listing — priced at R$0 and not yet purchasable. It is the first monetization change since launch (the other four passes are unchanged). Its listing describes it as a "Limited Time Tool", which suggests an event or seasonal item rather than a permanent addition. We will document its price and effect once 79studios puts it on sale.
- 07-30
Gamepass effects documented from the official listings
We audited every gamepass against its official Roblox description and corrected our guides where fan sources had guessed wrong: x2 Vote is "2x Map Voting" (not a way to vote players out), x2 Permanent gives "x2 the amount of rounds when you are Hunter", x2 Yen doubles the Yen earned per round rather than granting a bundle, and the Scythe listing states a -5% speed modifier while equipped.
- 07-30
Place updated by 79studios
The official Roblox listing records a place update at 10:03 UTC on July 30, 2026 — the first change to the experience since July 27. 79studios did not publish patch notes alongside it, and no new gamepass went on sale, so the contents are unconfirmed. We are logging the timestamp rather than guessing at what shipped.
- 07-31
Correction: rounds are 10 players, not 20
We previously listed a 20-player server size, a figure that circulates on several fan pages. The official Roblox place data sets the maximum at 10 players per server, and live server listings confirm lobbies filling to 10/10 at peak. That means one Hunter against nine mannequins, not nineteen. The FAQ, wiki, and homepage stats have all been corrected.
- 07-31
Correction: like count is 8.4K, not 7K
Our rating figures came from a third-party tracker whose vote scraping stopped updating on July 27, 2026, freezing at 6,980 likes. Reading Roblox’s own vote data directly gives 8,419 likes against 2,073 dislikes as of July 31 — about 20% higher, though the like ratio is unchanged at roughly 80%. Anywhere we quote likes or dislikes now uses the official count. If you see a fan page still citing "7K likes", that is the stale tracker figure.
- 07-31
Peak player count re-sourced
We had been repeating an all-time peak of "~10,000 concurrent players" that traces back to a tracker-derived ratio rather than an observed reading. Going through the full snapshot history available to us — 228 records beginning July 24 — the highest actual measurement is 3,393 concurrent players on July 25, 2026. We now publish that verified figure and label the higher number as unconfirmed rather than presenting it as fact.
- 07-31
Month-end stats: 3.75M visits, 350K favorites cleared
The game closed July 2026 at 3,750,638 visits and 353,934 favorites, adding roughly 166K visits and 19.6K favorites over the final 24-hour window. Its single badge, "Thanks for Playing! ☠️", was awarded 95,995 times in one day for a running total of 2,522,373. The Sea Knife gamepass remains listed at R$0 and off sale, unchanged since it appeared on July 30.
- 08-01
August opens with the biggest single-day player intake yet
The game crossed 3.84M lifetime visits and 365K favorites on August 1, 2026 — its strongest 24-hour intake since the June 22 launch. Official vote data now reads 8,576 likes against 2,125 dislikes (80.1%), and the single badge "Thanks for Playing! ☠️" has been awarded to more than 2.58M players in total.
- 08-01
Sea Knife still not on sale — confirmed limited-time tool
The fifth gamepass, Sea Knife, remains listed at R$0 and unpurchasable. Its official Roblox description still reads "Limited Time Tool in 💀Act Dead or OOF", confirming it as an event or seasonal item rather than a permanent addition. We will document its price and in-round effect the moment 79studios puts it on sale.
- 08-01
Summer update ships — experience renamed to [SUMMER🔱]
At 22:46 UTC on August 1, 2026, 79studios updated the place and renamed the experience from "💀Act Dead or OOF" to "💀Act Dead or OOF [SUMMER🔱]". A seasonal tag in the title is how Roblox developers typically flag a themed content drop, and the trident icon points at a beach or water theme — which lines up with the Sea Knife tool that appeared on July 30 and is described as a Limited Time Tool. 79studios published no patch notes and the store description is unchanged, so the specific additions are not documented anywhere official yet. We are recording the rename and the timestamp as fact and will not guess at the contents.
- 08-02
Update surge: +630K visits in 24 hours, concurrency peaks at 5,784
The summer update produced by far the largest traffic spike in the game’s history. In the 24 hours after it shipped, lifetime visits rose 630,333 (from 3,838,411 to 4,468,744) and favorites rose 83,582 (from 364,901 to 448,483) — both roughly four times the previous record day. Concurrency ran between 1,567 and 5,784 players, averaging about 4,200, and the 5,784 reading replaces July 25’s 3,393 as the highest snapshot we can verify. The "Thanks for Playing! ☠️" badge was awarded 472,299 times in a single day against 95,995 the day before, indicating a genuine influx of first-time players rather than returning ones. Official votes read 10,275 likes to 2,496 dislikes, holding the ratio at 80.5%.
- 08-02
Sea Knife goes on sale at R$259 — the summer event turns commercial
After sitting at R$0 and off sale since it appeared on July 30, the Sea Knife gamepass became purchasable on August 2, 2026 at R$259 (with a launch discount showing the original price struck through). Its official Roblox description reads "Limited Time Tool for SUMMER EVENT", confirming it as a seasonal purchase rather than a permanent one. We document the price and the confirmed facts here; its in-round effect is still not described by 79studios, so we do not guess at one.
- 08-02
New gamepass "Trident" appears at R$499
A sixth gamepass, Trident, appeared on the Roblox store listing on August 2, 2026 priced at R$499, tying x2 Permanent as the most expensive pass in the game. Like Sea Knife, its description reads "Limited Time Tool for SUMMER EVENT". That brings the purchasable set to six: Scythe, x2 Yen, x2 Vote, x2 Permanent, Sea Knife, and Trident. As with every pass here, 79studios has published no in-round effect or stat for it, so the only confirmed facts are the name, price, and seasonal tag.
- 08-03
5 million visits and 500,000 favorites cleared on the same day
Act Dead or OOF crossed two lifetime milestones within the same 24-hour window on August 3, 2026: total visits passed 5,000,000 (recorded at 5,001,293) and favorites passed 500,000 (recorded at 505,757). The game reached both six weeks after its June 22, 2026 release. For scale, about 1.61 million of those 5 million visits arrived in the 72 hours following the August 1 summer update, meaning roughly a third of the lifetime total was generated in three days.
- 08-03
Summer surge cools in an orderly way, not a collapse
This is the first window with enough distance from the August 1 update to measure how the spike is decaying, and the shape is a soft landing rather than a crash. Concurrency ran 1,945 to 3,646 players averaging 2,702, against 3,015 to 5,784 averaging 4,102 the day before, a drop of about a third. Visits added 441,948 and favorites 46,678 in 24 hours, down from the 630,333 and 542,353 visit days that preceded them but still several times any pre-update day. New unique players, read from the badge counter, eased to 292,642 per day from a peak of 472,299, with the running total at 3,381,596. Official votes reached 10,735 likes to 2,576 dislikes, a ratio of 80.6% that has not moved through the entire cycle. The verified peak of 5,784 concurrent players from August 1 still stands.
- 08-03
No new version, gamepass, or code this cycle (morning check)
We check four things every cycle and all four are unchanged. The official place timestamp still reads 22:46 UTC on August 1, 2026, so 79studios has not shipped a further update since the summer drop. The gamepass listing still holds exactly six passes at unchanged prices, with Trident at R$499 and Sea Knife at R$259 both still on sale. The experience name still carries the [SUMMER] tag. And there is still no redemption interface in the game and no verifiable code from 79studios, so our codes page remains empty by design rather than by omission. Superseded later the same day: a second place update landed at 12:43 UTC on August 3, 2026 — see the entry below.
- 08-03
Second place update of the summer window ships at 12:43 UTC
The official Roblox place timestamp moved from 2026-08-01T22:46:21Z to 2026-08-03T12:43:55Z, making this the first change 79studios has published since the summer drop two days earlier. As with that drop there are no patch notes: the experience name still carries the [SUMMER] tag, the store description is byte-for-byte unchanged, and all six gamepasses remain listed at the same prices — Trident R$499, x2 Permanent R$499, Sea Knife R$259, Scythe R$139, x2 Yen R$99 and x2 Vote R$67. The only confirmed facts are that a publish happened and when. For context it landed while concurrency was drifting back toward its pre-event band; we are recording the timing, not claiming a cause. One further caution: at least one widely cited third-party tracker still shows the last update as July 27, 2026 — that field has been stale for a week, and the timestamp to trust is the one on Roblox’s own game listing.
- 08-03
Evening stats: 5.12M visits, 518K favorites, and most of the surge given back
Read from Roblox directly on the evening of August 3, 2026: 5,124,376 visits, 517,961 favorites, and 10,997 likes against 2,627 dislikes for a ratio of 80.7% — up 123,083 visits and 12,204 favorites since that morning. The clearer story is in concurrency. Measured as UTC calendar-day averages the game ran about 4,220 concurrent players on August 1, 2,861 on August 2 and 1,718 on August 3, against a 1,046–1,401 band across July 28–31. On that basis roughly four fifths of the summer spike has unwound in two days, though the level it has settled at is still about 40% above late July rather than back at it. New unique players per day, read from the badge counter, fell to 196,030 from 292,642 that morning, with the running total at 3,444,735. Live lobbies were still filling: one at 10/10, two at 9/10 and seven at 8/10 across the ten public servers we sampled. Partially superseded on August 4: the August 3 concurrency average finalised at 1,635 rather than 1,718 once the full UTC day was in, and the "twice the pre-update rate" reading of new-player intake no longer holds — see the entries below.

The summer surge has fully unwound: new-player intake back at its pre-update baseline
This is the cycle where the August 1 spike finishes returning to trend, and the cleanest evidence is the badge counter. "Thanks for Playing! ☠️" is awarded at a 100% win rate, so its daily award count is a proxy for first-time players. That series now reads 95,995 before the update, 472,299 at the peak, then 360,357, 292,642, 196,030 and 102,535 on August 4 — within 7% of the pre-update baseline. We wrote on August 3 that first-time players were "still arriving at roughly twice the pre-update rate"; twelve hours later that is no longer true, and we are correcting it rather than quietly letting it age. Traffic says the same thing: the last 12 hours added 85,079 visits and 8,031 favorites, a run rate of about 170,000 visits and 16,000 favorites a day, which lands inside the 166K–193K visits and 12.7K–19.6K favorites the game was already doing daily in late July. Totals now read 5,209,455 visits, 525,992 favorites and a badge count of 3,480,973. None of this is a decline — the game is holding a solidly higher floor than it had before the event — but the event itself is over as a growth driver.

Correction: August 3 concurrency averaged 1,635, not 1,718
Our August 3 evening entry put that day’s UTC calendar-day concurrency average at 1,718. That reading was taken before the day was complete; with the full set of samples in, the figure finalises at 1,635. The revision changes the conclusion slightly and in the more cautious direction: against a pre-update four-day average of about 1,205 (July 28–31), roughly 86% of the spike has now retraced rather than the "four fifths" we published, and the level it settled at is about 36% above the pre-update average rather than 40%. The sequence in full is 4,220 on August 1, 2,861 on August 2 and 1,635 on August 3; early August 4 samples read 697–795. We are flagging this because a mid-day average is a partial-day average, and we would rather restate the number than leave a slightly flattering one on the page.

Four-item check: no new version, name change, gamepass move, or code (morning check)
All four things we verify every cycle are unchanged. The official place timestamp still reads 2026-08-03T12:43:55Z, so 79studios has not published since yesterday midday. The experience name still carries the [SUMMER] tag with no new bracket. All six gamepasses remain listed and for sale at the same prices — Trident R$499, x2 Permanent R$499, Sea Knife R$259, Scythe R$139, x2 Yen R$99 and x2 Vote R$67 — with no price history entries since August 3. And there is still no public code redemption system, so our codes page stays deliberately empty. Two third-party notes worth repeating: one widely cited tracker still reports the last update as July 27, 2026 (now eight days stale), and the same tracker’s vote scraping is frozen at 6,980 likes against Roblox’s actual 11,125, understating the real figure by about 37%. Superseded later the same day: a third place update landed at 09:56 UTC on August 4, 2026 — see the entries below.

Third place update of the summer window ships at 09:56 UTC
The official Roblox place timestamp moved again, from 2026-08-03T12:43:55Z to 2026-08-04T09:56:59Z. That is the third publish inside the summer window, and the gaps between them are shortening: 38 hours from the August 1 drop to the August 3 publish, then 21 hours to this one. Everything we can compare is unchanged — the experience still carries the [SUMMER] tag with no new bracket, the store description is byte-for-byte identical to yesterday, and all six gamepasses are still listed and for sale at the same prices (Trident R$499, x2 Permanent R$499, Sea Knife R$259, Scythe R$139, x2 Yen R$99, x2 Vote R$67). There are still no patch notes anywhere official, so the only confirmed facts remain that a publish happened and when. This is also the second consecutive day on which our own twelve-hour-old morning check reported no new version and was overtaken by the evening — during the summer window, a "nothing changed" reading has a short shelf life.
- 08-04
Concurrency doubled in the hours after the publish — with a same-hours control from the day before
The August 3 publish produced no visible movement in player numbers. This one did, and because the previous day gives us a same-hours control it is worth recording. UTC snapshots on August 4 read 795 concurrent players at 01:12, 696 at 04:00 and 676 at 07:09 — the lowest readings since before the summer update. The place was published at 09:56. The 10:00 snapshot read 863, then 1,702 at 12:30, 1,715 at 13:19 and 1,627 at 15:30. Over the same clock hours a day earlier concurrency went the other way: 1,576 at 10:00 easing to 1,292 by 13:30, an 18% decline against a 99% rise. Traffic accrual moved with it — the game was adding roughly 4,800 visits an hour before the publish and roughly 10,600 an hour after, with favorites going from about 474 to about 1,346 an hour. We are publishing the sequence and the control, not asserting a cause. 79studios documented nothing, and a Roblox discovery or front-page shift would look much the same from outside.

Evening stats: 5.3M visits, 537K favorites, and the first below-baseline day for new players
Read from Roblox directly on the evening of August 4, 2026: 5,302,096 visits, 537,004 favorites, and 11,231 likes against 2,687 dislikes for a ratio of 80.7% that still has not moved. That is 92,641 visits and 11,012 favorites added since the morning check twelve hours earlier. The badge counter is the notable line. Daily awards of "Thanks for Playing! ☠️" now read 82,327, which is not merely back at the 95,995 pre-update baseline but 14% below it — the first sub-baseline reading since the summer update, suggesting the cooldown has slightly overshot rather than stopping at trend. The running badge total is 3,530,283. Concurrency for August 4 is averaging about 1,153 so far, but that is a partial-day figure taken while the post-publish rebound is still running, and we will restate it next cycle once the full UTC day is in. Live lobbies were filling well when we sampled the ten public servers: two at 10/10, five at 9/10 and three at 8/10. Superseded on August 5: the August 4 concurrency average finalised at 1,246, and the sub-baseline new-player reading reversed the next day — see the entries below.

Renamed again — the [SUMMER] tag is gone, replaced by a beach icon
79studios renamed the experience for the second time since the summer drop. The Roblox listing title moved from "💀Act Dead or OOF [SUMMER🔱]" to "[🏖️]💀Act Dead or OOF": the word SUMMER and the trident are gone, a beach-umbrella icon takes their place, and the bracket has moved from the end of the title to the front. It is tempting to read that as the summer event ending, and we expect that is exactly how it will be reported — but the store data does not support it. All six gamepasses are still listed and still on sale, and the official descriptions on Trident and Sea Knife still read, word for word, "Limited Time Tool for SUMMER EVENT". The game description is byte-for-byte unchanged as well. So what is confirmed is a title string and a timestamp; whether the event ended, was extended, or was simply rebranded is not something anyone outside 79studios can currently state.

Fourth place update ships at 21:13 UTC — publish gaps keep shortening
The official place timestamp moved from 2026-08-04T09:56:59Z to 2026-08-04T21:13:47Z, the fourth publish inside the summer window and the one carrying the rename above. The cadence has tightened every time: 38 hours from the August 1 drop to the August 3 publish, then 21 hours, now 11 hours and 17 minutes. There are still no patch notes anywhere official. Nothing else we can compare has moved — the store description is identical, and the gamepass set is unchanged at six passes, with the most recent price snapshot available to us (August 3) showing Trident R$499, x2 Permanent R$499, Sea Knife R$259, Scythe R$139, x2 Yen R$99 and x2 Vote R$67, all on sale. There is still no code redemption system in the game, so our codes page stays deliberately empty. Superseded the next morning: the cadence did not keep shortening. The fifth publish arrived 22 hours and 51 minutes later, roughly double this gap — see the August 6 entry below.

Correction: August 4 concurrency finalised at 1,246, not 1,153
Our August 4 evening entry put that day’s UTC calendar-day concurrency average at about 1,153 and flagged it as a partial-day figure. With the full day of samples in, it finalises at 1,246 across a 676–1,715 range. That revision matters because it completes the summer story: against the pre-update four-day average of about 1,205 (July 28–31), August 4 sat just 3% above it, meaning roughly 99% of the spike had retraced by the end of that day. The full sequence is 4,220 on August 1, 2,861 on August 2, 1,635 on August 3 and 1,246 on August 4. We restate partial-day averages every time rather than leaving the first number on the page.

New-player intake rebounds above baseline and concurrency turns up for the first time since the peak
Twelve hours after we recorded the first below-baseline day of the cycle, the direction reversed. Daily awards of the "Thanks for Playing! ☠️" badge — the best public proxy for first-time players, since the badge is granted at a 100% win rate — read 120,434, up 46% from the 82,327 we published yesterday evening and 25% above the 95,995 pre-update baseline. Concurrency moved the same way: August 5 is averaging about 1,491 so far across a 1,024–1,905 range, the first calendar day to average higher than the one before it since the August 1 peak. Both figures are partial-day and we will restate them next cycle. What we will not do is assign a cause: the rename and the fourth publish landed in the same window, but a Roblox discovery or front-page placement would produce the same shape from the outside, and 79studios has documented nothing. The relevant caveat on yesterday’s entry is that a single sub-baseline reading was not the end of the cycle. Superseded the next morning: with the full UTC day of samples in, neither reversal held. August 5 concurrency finalised at 1,207, below August 4, and new-player intake fell back to 92,813 — see the correction below.

Morning stats: 5.43M visits, 552K favorites, like ratio still 80.8%
Read from Roblox directly on the morning of August 5, 2026: 5,428,598 visits, 552,360 favorites and 11,438 likes against 2,722 dislikes for a ratio of 80.8% — a figure that has not meaningfully moved through the run-up, the peak, the full cooldown and now the rebound. That is 126,502 visits and 15,356 favorites added in the twelve and a half hours since the last check, a run rate of about 240,000 visits a day that runs ahead of the 166K–193K the game was doing before the update. The badge total reached 3,603,420. Live lobbies were filling well across the ten public servers we sampled: three at 10/10, one at 9/10 and four at 8/10. One third-party caution to repeat: the widely cited tracker whose vote scraping stalled on July 27 still reports 6,980 likes, which now understates the real count by 39% — the gap widens every day — and its gamepass price snapshots have not refreshed since August 3. Superseded the next morning: that ~240,000 visits a day run rate was measured across a twelve-and-a-half-hour window and did not hold. The following 22 hours ran at about 170,000 a day, back inside the pre-update band.

Correction: the August 5 rebound did not survive the full day
Yesterday morning we reported two reversals — new-player intake up 46% to 120,434, and concurrency averaging about 1,491, which would have made August 5 the first up-day since the August 1 peak. Both were partial-day readings, and both are now restated. With the complete UTC day in, August 5 concurrency finalised at 1,207 across a 760–1,905 range: 19% below the partial figure, and 3% below August 4’s 1,246, so it was not an up-day at all. The calendar-day sequence has never broken — 4,220 on August 1, 2,861 on August 2, 1,635 on August 3, 1,246 on August 4, 1,207 on August 5. Against the pre-update four-day average of about 1,205 (July 28–31), that leaves the game 0.2% above where it started, meaning effectively the entire spike has retraced. New-player intake did the same thing: today’s badge reading is 92,813, down 23% from 120,434 and 3% below the 95,995 baseline. We publish partial-day numbers because staying silent for twelve hours is worse, but we restate every one of them — including when the restatement takes away a more interesting story than the one it replaces.

Fifth place update ships at 20:05 UTC — the publish cadence did not keep shortening
The official place timestamp moved from 2026-08-04T21:13:47Z to 2026-08-05T20:05:06Z, the fifth publish inside the summer window. Yesterday we noted the gaps had tightened at every step — 38 hours, then 21, then 11 hours 17 minutes — and treated that as a trend. It was not one: this gap is 22 hours 51 minutes, roughly double the previous one, so the pattern is irregular rather than accelerating. There are still no patch notes anywhere official. Everything else we can compare is unchanged: the experience is still titled "[🏖️]💀Act Dead or OOF", so the beach rename has now held a full day; the store description is byte-identical; and all six gamepasses are still listed and on sale at Trident R$499, x2 Permanent R$499, Sea Knife R$259, Scythe R$139, x2 Yen R$99 and x2 Vote R$67. The game still has no code redemption system, so our codes page stays empty by design.

Morning stats: 5.58M visits, 568K favorites, growth back inside its pre-update band
Read from Roblox directly on the morning of August 6, 2026: 5,584,913 visits, 568,690 favorites, and 11,701 likes against 2,784 dislikes for a ratio of 80.8% — unchanged again, as it has been through the run-up, the peak, the cooldown and the false rebound. The last 22 hours added 156,315 visits and 16,330 favorites, a run rate of roughly 170,000 visits and 18,000 favorites a day. That number matters because yesterday we measured about 240,000 a day and called it an acceleration ahead of the pre-update pace. It was not: 170,000 sits inside the 166,000–193,000 band the game was posting daily before the summer update, so the honest read is that growth has normalised rather than accelerated. The badge total reached 3,684,748. Lobbies still fill — of ten public servers sampled, two were at 10/10, four at 9/10 and four at 8/10. Third-party caution, recalculated as always: the widely cited tracker whose vote scraping stalled on July 27 still reports 6,980 likes, which now understates the real count by 40%, and its own place "last updated" field also still reads July 27 — nine days stale against the six publishes Roblox has recorded since then.
Dates reflect public release information for the title. If a future update adds a code system or new gamepasses, those changes will be reflected here and on the relevant tool pages.
We treat this page as a living changelog rather than a news feed. That means an entry only appears once we have confirmed the change from the developer’s own channels — no rumours, no speculation. If a week goes by without a new line, it simply means nothing shipped worth recording.
